THIRTEEN GOATS plays complex but catchy songs about death, madness, and the destruction of all things. Furious riffs contrast with theatrical, hook-laden choruses that deliver lyrics full of tongue-in-cheek wordplay and create truly memorable listening experiences for fans.
The Lineup
THIRTEEN GOATS was founded by a classically-trained Shakespearean actor and an auto mechanic in 2018. The full lineup came together in 2021.

The core songwriters of THIRTEEN GOATS have family roots in the former Soviet Union (Ukraine, Lithuania, Armenia, and Russia). Slavic history and folklore are in the DNA of our music and lyrics, which often explore themes of anti-imperialism and humankind’s capacity for ideological violence.
The Name
Our name refers to our mascot: a demonic prophet of doom nicknamed Shepherd, whose features are obscured by a goat skull mask. As the band’s version of the Antichrist, he’s accompanied by 12 demon goats who function as his disciples—THIRTEEN GOATS in total.
